Happy cards are the best!

Good morning all

There's a new challenge starting over at 

Fab'n'Funky Challenges

the theme is 

Happy
(anything at all with the word Happy)

I thought it was a great opportunity to use the new flower dies that I bought in the sales over Christmas - so much so that I made two cards!
The dies are from Tonic - believe it or not the first Tonic dies I've ever bought!

So do you like the bright and bold.....


.......or the muted softer tones


This is what I did.....

1st card
Dies - Tonic Sunny Gazania
        - Sizzix border die
       - Happy birthday - from crafter's companion Sara's birthday collection
Embossing folder - from crafter's companion Sara's birthday collection
glossy accentsand viva decor (red)

2nd Card
Dies - Tonic  Apple Blossom
        - Spellbinders happy birthday
       - crafters companion - diesire fancy edgeable
       - small stitche circle die - MFT?
papers - First edition - spring feast
card from my stash

I love these flowers - such a great size and variety for ll sorts of projects - you may see them again very soon!

We have a sweet challenge at Winter Wonderland - show us some candy!!


Good morning all

Hope this scheduled post works today! - my record with blogger this week hasn't been too good
and as it's Friday 13th......

I'll be travelling around and about somewhere 
on my way to Florida on my hollies!

Our challenge at Winter Wonderland this week is 

Christmas Candy

It's a perfect one for me this year as I've got a bit of a thing about gingerbread men!
I treat myself to this lovely die from Tonic to make some cute Christmas cards together with the accessories set from Tim Holtz Crazy birds stamps to add the hats and candy canes
- the perfect ingredients for a Christmas candy card!
When I get back from my hollies I intend to do a bit of a batch craft of this card 
- quite easy to do - well except for backing the gingerbread men in white - which turned out a whole lot more complicated than I thought!!

Dark red card - from a huge stash that I haven't got a clue where it came from!!
Spectrum noir pens in DR2 and DR 4 to colour hats
