Filipino Market

Kota Kinabalu

Filipino Market is a major tourist attraction and shopping destination in KK City Center - the central feature along the Waterfront. Comprised of a wet market, night market, handicraft complex and hawker center, this is the most popular place for seafood and souvenirs in town, managed mostly by immigrants and locals originating from the southern islands of Philippines.

During the day, visitors peruse colourful handicrafts, traditional snacks, salted fish and pearls harvested from Sabah's oceans while at night, the scenery transforms to a lively food court waft with smoke and scents from fish, prawns, crabs, squid and clams grilling on charcoal beds to the delight of foreign tourists.
