Forum
The world is changing. The global economy continues to struggle with tepid growth and recessionary vulnerabilities continue to linger. Rapid structural changes have dramatically transformed the global economic landscape, marking the beginning of a new economic era. In this new economic environment, innovation and insight will be paramount for growth.
This year, Kyunghyang Shinmun would like to celebrate its 70th Anniversary by addressing these unprecedented economic circumstances with our Kyunghyang Forum. The Kyunghyang Forum will establish a dialogue that will address strategies for improving quality of life and encouraging prosperity in this new economic environment. The main theme of The Kyunghyang Forum, 'The New Normal Era- Innovation and Insights" will be addressing the new economic structure in Asia.
Korea's manufacturing sector, the backbone of Korea's economy, is being transformed by the introduction of artificial intelligence and other IT technologies, creating new management challenges for Korean businesses. In particular, in the wake of China's rise as a global game changer in traditional industries and technology development, Korea faces strong economic restructuring pressures. How Korea decides to engage and cooperate with China will have significant implications for Korea's future.
Bringing together experts, academics, and entrepreneurs from both Korea and China, Kyunghyang Shinmun is seeking a means of navigating this new economic landscape. Thank you for joining us as we define new solutions in a truly new era.
