Freda Thomas (née Miller) was born in Louisiana where much of her
family still resides. She grew up in Buffalo Grove, Illinois - a
Northwest suburb of Chicago. During the first grade, Freda attended
three different schools due to her parents moving and changes in the
school district - Mark Twain, Kildeer, and Willow Grove. The community
in which Freda grew up was growing so rapidly, that a Junior school was
built to accommodate students 4th - 8th grades. Freda attended St.
Mary's school for 5th-8th grades.
Freda became interested in acting as a child, performing in plays arranged by a neighborhood teen their garage. Her interest in acting continued through high school, but mainly as a hobby.
After college, Freda moved to Houston, Texas to get away from the snow and harsh Chicago winters. She resurrected her interest in acting after chatting with a co-worker who was an extra in movie being filmed in Houston; Freda has been pursuing her acting dream every since.
