Mark Pocan
Democratic Congressman Mark Pocan served in the United States House of
Representatives representing Wisconsin's 2nd Congressional District
since 2013 and was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1999
to 2013, representing the 78th district. In November 2012, Rep. Pocan
replaced Congressman Tammy Baldwin, who was elected to the U.S. Senate.
After graduation from Kenosha public schools, Pocan earned a Bachelor's
Degree in journalism at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986,
following which he operated a printing company in Kenosha. His father
William Pocan was a longtime Kenosha alderman. Active in Democratic
politics since college, Pocan was was elected to the Dane County Board
from 1991 to 1996.
