Danielle Melissovas Thompson
- Writer
- Editor
- Director
With feature-length and international filmmaking experience to her credit, Danielle Melissovas Thompson is a writer/director with a diverse set of experiences. Her writing and directing tends toward the comedic, working on such comedy web series as "The Lawrences" and "Here Is the Steeple." She is a published photographer whose visual style is bold, colorful, and detail-oriented. When she's not leading a project as director or producer, she's usually editing a project for a collaborator.
Danielle brings dedication and a well-rounded perspective to every project. Having a background in English, Theatre, and Film, she holds an MFA in Directing from Regent University, and a Masters in Film Aesthetics from Oxford University in the UK. With this academic pedigree, she knows that every project begins with research and a lot of thinking!
Born and raised in Georgia, Danielle named her production company Fountain City Films after the nick-name of her home town, Columbus, Georgia. Columbus is where she got her start in theatre and film, and its southern charms will always have her heart.
Danielle lived in the UK for two years, during which time she traveled through Europe, capturing many, many photographs and absorbing different cultures. She is part Greek, and reconnecting with her Greek ancestry was incredibly meaningful.
She met her filmmaker husband Adam Bova in film school. This movie-loving couple has since worked together on many endeavors, including editing by candlelight, and long film shoots on the beach. They are producing a feature film, Two Weeks Unnoticed (2018).
