A NY-based writer and indie filmmaker, Guy is an alumnus of the world-famous Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, where he spent many years and lots of money learning to write sketches, which he hopes was great training for writing scenes of all types.
He was a contributing writer for The Onion News Network and MTV's "Popzilla," and his work has also appeared on the College Humor and Channel 101 NY websites.
He wrote and directed the award-winning indie action thriller "Pearl" (AKA "Pearl: The Assassin"), which was released by Indican Pictures. He also wrote the Sci-Fi comedy feature "Snatchers"
Though Philadelphia born, Guy resides in Jersey City, NJ with his wife Dana and son Finn, and has embraced the local film scene. As a member of the Jersey City Arts Council Film Committee, Guy strives to connect local artists with opportunities to advance their careers.
Guy is proud to sit on the Board of Directors of Grace Community Services, a 5013C charitable organization that administers a breakfast program for its homeless and food insecure populations.
Guy Patton is the youngest of six step-siblings, all born into a family morass of poverty, criminality, addiction, and lies, which is where all his stories come from. He was the first in his family to earn a college degree.
