Born in New Jersey his love for acting began at an early age in school,
writing and performing in high school plays along with television and
radio programs. During his college years at Rutgers University Matt
began auditioning in New York City and Boston for television, film and
theater. After landing a series of lead roles in off-off Broadway
theatrical performances and student films for The New York Film
Academy, Boston University Film School, NYU and The New York Digital
Film Academy, he landed small roles in NBC's 30 Rock and Discovery
Channel's Dr. G Medical Examiner. Seeking larger, more challenging
characters, Matt's first lead role in film came after college while
living in NYC. The Great Destroyer, an independent short film garnered
minor success in the short film circuit; Winner at the Hollyshorts Film
Festival in LA, Jury Selection at the Ft. Lauderdale International Film
Festival and Jury Selection at the San Francisco Festival of Shorts.
Pursuing film lead Matt to Los Angeles. Taking advantage of new media
formats he landed a lead role in the SFNtv.com web series River Ridge.
He also landed a lead role in One on One. A web-based film used for the
USC School of Social Work. Approached with an opportunity for a feature
film Matt again teamed up with the director of The Great Destroyer.
Landing a lead role in A Killing Day. Matthew continues to pursue
projects, audition and film in Los Angeles.
