Susan is a female stand-up in the UK. She was Winner of the first ever Jongleurs Competition and a seasoned regular
on the circuit. She is the only woman to MC Decompression gigs for the
British Army / CSE. She is in the top 100 Huffington Post funny women
Tweeters. Susan was also recently short listed for the BBC's year long
comedy writing bursary.
As well as writing for "8 Out Of Ten Cats" (Ch4) , BBC Radio 4's "The Now Show", "Newsjack" and "News Quiz" she has written and performed four solo shows; "21st Century Fox" (themed on the modern day phenomenon of internet dating); 'The Glottal Stops Here' ( a show all about accents), 'Photo Booth' ( anecdotal show about her obsession with passport photos) and "Eyes Down For a Full Murray" ( gag filled show about life's annoyances ) sees Susan going from strength to strength with a more personal theme that showcases her knack for storytelling and characterisation. Her warmth and razor-sharp wit are winning over new audiences for her growing fan base. As well as writing and performing for BBC Radio 1 on 'The Milk Run' she also received a writing bursary from the BBC Northern Comedy Dept. More recently she wrote and starred in the topical web show 'Britain's Got People' with Dave Cohen ( Have I Got News For You/ Horrible Histories). Susan is working nationally for the majority of promoters and clubs in the UK (Jongleurs, Highlight, Off The Kerb etc) and works internationally; Quatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Germany, Luxembourg, Brussels, Ireland. Her versatility means that as well as corporate gigs Susan works Biker Festivals and music festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, The Big Chill, Reading, V, Endorse It In Dorset, Download. Acting credits include starring in the TV comedy drama "Love, Lies and Lipstick" for ITV, Arthur Smith Sings Leonard Cohen (Pleasance, Edinburgh Festival and Garrick London) and Itch Scratch at The Pleasance Theatre.
Susan is fast becoming a regular comedy writer for BBC Radio 4 and has just been invited by the Radio Comedy Dept to apply for their much coveted year long Writing Bursary. She books and MCs two comedy clubs in east London and is the organiser of the now legendary Comedian's Christmas Party. Susan also runs and teaches her own comedy school in Brighton. She also organised and MC'd a huge benefit gig at the Dome in Brighton for the Adrian Bunting Memorial fund starring Stewart Lee, Tim Vine, Mark Thomas, Simon Evans and Joanna Neary. This raised £22,000. Local benefit gigs have included Save Leyton Marsh and Eat Or Heat in Walthamstow.
