George Bettinger

George Bettinger's first friend in show business was legendary talk show host Joe Franklin. George made many appearances on The Joe Franklin Show (which ran consecutively on Television from 1953-1993) Franklin loved George's impersonations of legendary show business personalities. Bettinger contributed comedy bits and made occasional cameo's on the The Uncle Floyd Show (which ran on Television from 1974-mid 90's) George created a series called "Movie Magic" which was on Manhattan Cable TV from 1981-1987. He then went full time into radio and TV commercials, appearing in countless local and network spots for M&M's, electronics, restaurants and more. As a producer George Bettinger created many educational and training films for major companies such as Pfizer, Hoffman LaRoche and Maimonides Medical Center.
He created a CD called "George Bettinger's Mom & Pop Variety Shop" on Original Cast records in 1998. This was the spring board for his long running international radio program "The Mom &Pop Shop" which can be heard Monday, Wednesday and Friday on Tune In Radio's "It's Right Here In Miramar." Broadcast from City Hall in Miramar FL, George's radio show has been covered by NBC and ABC Network News as a unique hybrid of the charm of the past meeting present day. George Bettinger's list of amazing guests on radio range from Lily Tomlin and Sonny Rollins to Suzi Quatro and Robert Klein. In 2016 George Bettinger was inducted into the prestigious Friars Club in New York City.
