Yang Du, born in Beijing, is a film producer in China. She is currently the general manager of Beijing Skywheel Entertainment Co., Ltd. Having been in the film industry for more than 20 years, focusing on commercial feature films, Yang Du has rich professional experience as well as a vast social network. She is a professional manager with a wide area of expertise such as project development, film investing, film production, publicity, distribution, and marketing. As of 2015, She has participated in over 20 film projects which created a total box office of 500 million USD.
From 2000 to 2004, Yang Du was the publicity director of Huayi Brothers Film Investment Co., Ltd and participated in the production of many blockbuster films such as Da wan,Tian di ying xiong,Kung fu,Xun qiang,Kekexili. Afterwards she took the posts of the vice president of Starlight International Media Co.,Ltd and the general manager of Starlight International Media Group Co.,Ltd. From 2005 to 2007, she was the vice president of Beijing Taihe Media Investment Co.,Ltd. From 2008 to 2010, as the general manager of Beijing Perfect World Co.,Ltd, Yang Du boldly employed young directors, and as the general producer of love comedy Fei chang wan mei featuring Ziyi Zhang and Bingbing Fan, she created the trend of Chinese chick flick. In the same period, she participated in the development of films such as Shi lian 33 tian that have turning-point significance for the film market. From 2011 to 2013, Yang Du was the vice general manager of Wanda Media Co., LTD and developed and produced films like Jing cha gu shi 2013,Bei Jing ai qing gu shi,Gong suo Chenxiang, and Mojin - The lost Legend that broke box office records in 2015. In 2013, Yang Du created Beijing Skywheel Entertainment Co. Ltd. The film My Old Classmate produced by this company was listed the fourth in the Chinese box office rankings in the first half of 2014. Also in that year, she produced Breakup Buddies, which grossed over 200 million USD. In 2015, she worked as the supervising producer for a few well acclaimed films such as Saving Mr.Wu and The Final Master. The Final Master later won a Taiwan Golden Horse Award.
