Shawn McAllister, actor/writer/film producer, has been acting since the
age of five. He is a longstanding member of both Screen Actors Guild
and Actors Equity Association and has appeared in more than 25 feature
films and television programs as well as 75 stage productions. He spent
several years working in theatre production as a stage manager and/or
production manager in South Florida, Pennsylvania and New York, most
notably for the Zev Bufman organization. As
an officer with two independent film companies, Earth Productions and
Macaw Films, he produced a number of features and television pilots,
including the children's film,
Looking for Trouble (1996),
for Roger Corman. He also worked as a
freelance writer and ghostwriter, spent four years as a journalist and
is the author of several books. His autobiography was published in 1998
under the title, "Surrender the Jealous Mistress," and in 2006 his
biography "Hibel: The Life & Art of Edna Hibel" about the world
renowned artist was published. He has two sisters (Sharon and Nancy),
two daughters (Dawn and Stacy), three step-daughters (Rose, Terry, and
Linda), nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
