Conal Kearney mentored young screen writers. He was consulting producer on a short film, "Ar Scath le Cheile", which was shown at the Galway Film Fleadh.
He trained in Paris with highly acclaimed international mime artist, Marcel Marceau at his college, École Internationale de Mimodrame de Paris. He worked as a professional actor for 25 years, mainly with The Abbey Theatre. He performed in most theatres in Ireland and toured extensively with the Abbey Theatre to; London, Paris, Moscow, St. Petersberg, Philadelphia and New York. He worked extensively with RTE (Irish National Television Service) in a long running children's television series.
As an actor he performed alongside, among others, Gabriel Byrne, Jim Sheridan, and Liam Neeson. Kearney ran a private practice for personal acting and therapy and coached a number of international actors and musicians including U2, Caroline Morahan, and Colin Farrell.
