Vivian Hanjohr
- Actress
Born in 1966 Vivian Hanjohr in Berlin and left by her mother seven days after birth. She was raised by her grandparents, and it was her grandmother who encouraged her to practice arts - music and acting. Vivian started playing guitar at the age of six and since her 7th class she was attending Händel Oberschule. It was also her grandmother who suggested her to apply to the audition for Helmut Dziuba's movie Erscheinen Pflicht. Dziuba, who was looking for young actors for more than half a year, gave her the main role, but due to certain criticism not liked by the leading Party the movie wasn't allowed to be broadcast-ed or shown in theaters until the end of decade and the end of East Germany. Vivian, who liked the work on the movie and who became popular (including appearing on national Karl-Marx-Stadt - now Chemnitz - festival where the movie had honor to open it) before the unofficial banning the movie, had to chose between film and music because there was no possibility to study both simultaneously in East Germany. She decided to continue studying music and ended successfully in 1988. Since 1990. she has been playing solo guitar appearing as guest in Berlin National Opera, and later abroad along Europe and Asia. In 2002, together with Andrea Höhnel, Gabriele Höhnel and Petra Patzer, she formed Berliner Gitarrenquartett Cuarteto Apasionado. She also continues to work as music teacher in Berlin.
