A native of Middletown, Connecticut, David was acting and performing from an early age and made his television debut doing magic for the legendary comedy team "Bob and Ray" on a PBS special. In high school David was an early member of the central Connecticut chapter of the National Organization for Women, and worked with Yale Law student Bill Clinton on the U. S. Senate Campaign of Joseph Duffy. After graduating from Wesleyan University, with majors in both Theatre and Government, he moved to New York where he first gained national attention in over 180 commercials as "Books Dalton", the spokesman for the B. Dalton Bookstore chain. Now a Los Angeles resident he has had recurring roles "True Blood" and "Silicon Valley" among others, was the pianist for "The Black Orchid Trio;" and lead guitar in the all-actor rock band "Brando's Pants," and has been a member of Hollywood's Theatre of NOTE ensemble for over 30 years. He is also very active as a vocal coach, and has been helping singers develop since the 1980's.
