I'm sure Madrid has an amazing music history from the time of the revolution - but there was no evidence of this here. The choice of cigarettes and even the furniture gave it all away.
Didn't feel anything from this quasi-"period drama": characters were weak, storyline vacant, and styling/aesthetic was a disaster- at least they could have placed budget on authentic hairstyling and wardrobe - but it felt like a poor effort of a fancy dress party in Marbella...
Music is a powerful narrative, and I'm disappointed that the first episode wasn't held together by an astounding soundtrack from the era.
Even I noticed the mum's haircut was totally out of place.. and in the 60s, they didn't speak like this.. the script is too artificial- and that's coming from a giri..
Maybe it's SGAE, maybe it's the labels or maybe I've just seen too many good quality period dramas on Netflix... but this didn't hit the spot
Pa the Yamaha logo on the piano in episode 2 is classic rookie error
