Henry Diltz is a great man and when he is on screen in "Legends of the Canyon," the documentary is quite watchable. Henry talks about Laurel Canyon with reverence and love. Some of the original footage is magical.
But most of this film is some sort of homage to David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash. There is endless footage of them saying almost nothing.
Is there a person alive today who does not recognize "Almost Cut My Hair" as one of the worst songs of the post-World War II Era? Is there anyone alive who thinks "Our House" is anything but insipid?
Is there anyone who wants to spend two hours with these dullards? If so, watch "Legends of the Canyon."
