Psycho Sex

Kink and fetish videos abound, but few of us "squares" ever watch them due to poor distribution and also lack of interest (I don't enjoy seeing girls ball-gagged or duct-taped or saran-wrapped for fun & profit). This Tanya Hyde exercise from Britain serves as a fun primer as to how the other (kinky) half lives. For some reason IMDb lists very few of Hyde's recent videos, but I'll try to add them after watching and jotting down credits.

Five very lengthy segments cast top-notch British Babes as protagonists or victims, according to one's p-o-v. Every segment has the word "F*ck" in its title, which is actually quite reassuring, since so much BDSM is to my way of thinking non-sexual in nature -just a dreary session of physical abuse, whipping or ritualized "playing with toys" (or medical instruments).

Setting reminds me of those VHS offerings from West Coast Productions directed by Alexander DeVoe about 15 years ago, with sex against a clammy, ugly industrial (think warehouse with lathes) backdrop.

Best vignette for me was Paige Turnah and her tormentor in heavily fetishized latex gear, wearing futuristic gas masks, as Paige gets her nipples stretched with little glass bulb attachments and the humping includes very strange glass & tubing used as dildo (I thought it would be for enema purposes but fortunately not).

Rebecca More with clip-board is entertaining as a sort of time & motion study consultant, getting down and dirty in a three-way. Kinkiest segments feature Scarlett March and Syren Sexton, and there is plenty of strangeness for strangeness sake, such as Omar Williams in black-face makeup as a nod to 19th Century minstrel shows (and categorically racist in modern terms).

I think the technical quality and always visually interesting nature of the videos sets Hyde's work apart from the competition, and many out-of-print Hyde videos are already commanding high prices on the collectors' market.
