The Bug

This is absolutely dire stuff.

Caroline Quentin gives such a hammy performance here that it's borderline Am Dram.

Of course she's not helped by a script (the fact it took three people to write this is shocking because it's still woeful upon delivery) that leaves very little to the comedy imagination.

Quite how this made it to a third series is beyond me really because there was very little in the first two that showed any signs of promise.

Nobody remembers this sitcom, and I doubt those that do have any warmth towards it.

Being shown as a sort of 'comedy double bill' was what did 'The Green Green Grass' in, and that show even at its worst could run rings around this dire mess.
