First I have to apologize to thousands of actual amateurs who run an order of magnitude better productions.
Perhaps I expected too much since usually only highly professional shows cross the ocean so one starts associating UK with high quality production by default. Unfortunately that doesn't apply to this author/show so the best time saving advice to anyone stumbling on this is - if you see the name Fearne skip to next channel and save yourself some grief.
Could you imagine Leno or Leatherman complaining on camera about their own guests and going on and on how they had to wait for their guests to get ready during the taping of the show or not stopping the camera and shooting again when something gets stuck? That's the level of amateurism that Fearne demonstrated here. It's like either she or her producer don't know even the bare fundamentals of showbiz and how to run a production. Looks like they went to L.A. with literally no plan and no coordination - any local station doing an ad-hock street piece is more organized and better prepared and if they do mess up they have enough professionalism to re-shoot rather than inventing excuses.
I watched the episode with Mischa Barton as a guest since articles about alleged cat fight got me curious. There wasn't any to be seen - just a malicious presenter trying to blame a guest for her own lack of skills. One can literally see the malice on Fearne's face in the final sequence of the episode. I'd be surprised if anyone who knows anything about professional production could ever trust her again after seeing what she did here.
