Shattered is the story of Jeff Donaway, an alcoholic spiraling out of control, and his journey towards reconciliation with his daughter, Sarah. After getting into a major motorcycle accident, Jeff is stranded in a ditch alongside a deserted country road. With no way of escaping or calling for help, Jeff looks back on his life and begins to realize how he not only messed up his own life, but that he may have pushed his daughter down a similar path. He finally understands the mistakes he has made, and must now find a way out of the ditch so that he can try to fix what he has broken.
