In The Lanes of Brighton, young Peggy and her friend pay a visit psychic Madame Lavengro at her parlour for a bit of a friendly giggle. But it seems the clairvoyant's powers are no laughing matter and, during a startlingly accurate tarot reading, she reveals a truth that Peggy didn't really want revealing.
Just what is Peggy's connection with the notorious 'hotel robber' who's currently looming large in the seaside resort?
When Madame Lavengro is found dead the next morning, Esther, who's an old friend, comes down to the coast to take over the parlour's business - and to hopefully find out the truth about her death too.
This episode is a little bit different, and gives Esther the chance to really show some of her clairvoyance skills! It's great to see a very young-looking Susie Blake as Peggy, as well as Robert Powell guesting as her boyfriend.
Anouska does sound a little husky at times, as if she's losing her voice and isn't very well - although this is neatly explained in the story and added into the script.
This is an enjoyable episode that gets our characters into a different environment and, as mentioned earlier, gives Esther a chance to showcase all her mystical powers and take a few risks along the way.
