Best selling mystery author Sharon Bannister (Francesca Annis) is putting the finishing touches to her latest novel and his interrupted by her annoying neighbour and sort of housekeeper Mrs. Trask. When Trask leaves Sharon thinks that an intruder has entered her mansion but it's her former husband Larry; they are currently separating and planning the cards for the divorce and Larry has turned up for murdering Sharon in a plot reminiscent of one of her novels but not everything will go as planned because there are other motives by other people (including Mrs. Trask's bumbling son) using the couple for their own ends, but only one will survive...
By this episode it's clear that the writers of TALES FROM THE CRYPT had already run out of ideas and I am glad they stopped with this season. This time everything was bad: the plot was very confusing and at times I had to rewatch a few moments because I couldn't believe what happened. The acting was cringeworthy and the characters unlikeable. With so many good episodes in the entire series, why watch this? Only for die hard fans of the show like me that want to watch all the episodes. And the only other reviewer that reviewed this episode gave it a 4, so this already says a lot!
