Trivia
The freighter used in the film is a Bristol Type 170 Mk 32 Superfreighter and was once used by Silver City Airways. Its name, City of Leicester can be seen on the side of the fuselage just below the cockpit canopy.

Goofs
The gold bars being unloaded from the aeroplane would never have been loaded in that way: they would have been secured in crates or been securely bound together to stop them from moving about which could have had catastrophic consequences for the flight.
