Hiding behind the pseudonym "Bo Edwards", Paul Thomas makes fun of those "World Poker Tour" tv shows that actually play as filler on sports networks -all an excuse to show off tantalizing, really big tits. It's a stupid vehicle for Vivid superstar Mercedez, who rises above the intentional sleaze.
Evan Stone stars in his familiar tongue in cheek mode, about half a step above his obnoxious clowning in many a BTS short subject. He plays an investigative reporter working on the case of missing person poker champ Nick Manning, who it turns out has been kidnapped by (an untalented "actor") Peter Shaft and his moll Brooke Banner.
Uncredited Frank Bukkwyd is the host of a tv series "World Series Strip Poker Classic", talking to the TV audience and making knowing commentary that makes fun of those familiar real-life hosts like Vince Van Patten and Tony Dunst.
Unfortunate decision is to make the game draw poker, missing the boat on having Texas Hold 'em, which is far more popular and hip. For some reason, quite improbably they keep having hands in which both players have the same cards -more like a pinochle deck than a real 52-card deck, which instantly destroys andy pretense of credibility, e.g., Mercedez and Evan both have four aces and a king in a hand right at the beginning of the movie.
Scenes are poorly directed, with gonzo/mechanical sex and lots of condoms to spoil the fantasy. Huge tits abound and many extras fill up the frame uncredited. It's clear that other than Mercedez nobody on set is trying, making her look good (beyond merely beautiful) by comparison. And the one-joke conceit of satirizing hokey TV poker by making it Strip Poker is childishly insulting: Vivid viewers are assumed to be total idiots.
