Well what can I say. The summary says it all really. This is definitely a video to rival every skate video ever made. Lets start off with Chris Haslam shall we? He opens this video with such fire and enthusiasm as always and definitely doesn't fail to impress. With a great variety of new flips, manuals, one-footed boardslides and flips into and out of grinds you cannot fail to be impressed and it definitely sets you up for the rest of the film. The combination of Cooper, Ryan and Greg definitely keep you going, although definitely do nothing to rival the greats. A great feature on the DVD is the added 3-D section. Don the 3-D specs and watch the skaters flipping around the living room. It is a concept that i think will be adopted for skate videos to come.
Then we get to the big dogs. Rodney hits off the final bout first with a consistency and technical ability that can only come from such a legendary professional. His ingenious bag of tricks has grown ever larger, with a new arsenal of tricks like varial flip underflips, handstand to manuals, cross-foot caspers and just about every flip into a railslide, as well as railslide to railslide to manuals. Of course you get all the original legendary trademark freestyle that has made Rodney what he is now, and this is definitely a video part to rival his earlier years in Rubbish Heap (World Industries) and one that you will want to go back and watch again and again. Then Daewon blasts on. Well what can I say. Daewon is Daewon. His countless tricks combined with new variations bring a new dimension to this guys skating. He now has so many flip to manual variations that its hard to count them and, like Rodney, his dominance on the board is only matched by great consistency and technicality.
It was a hard decision deciding on who won Round Three. Many people say Rodney (myself included) others chose Daewon or Haslam. In the end it makes no difference. This is an absolute masterpiece of a skateboarding video. I think even if you don't like skateboarding you would love this video. If you do skate then you can certainly appreciate how talented these guys are. This is a once in a lifetime DVD and any skater will have to have this in his collection before even considering that hes got it all. Go out and buy it... now...
