Happy New Year with 3 Girl JAM!

Hi Friends! Since this is my last 3 Girl JAM DT post for 2014, I wanted to create a New Years themed project to share with all of you.

I made a fun & sparkly New Years tag using 3 different ribbons & trims from 3GJ.

Here's a short video that shows you the tag up close along with the 3GJ goodies I used...

I pulled from 3 different bundles for this one...

Holiday Trim-Gold Cording

Diagonal Striped Ribbon-Dark Blue/Navy
Celebrations Bundle-Tuxedo

You crafters know how much I love using more than one bundle or ribbon selection on my projects. It's fun to see how well they all blend & work together....

This tag has such a cool mix of textures from the washi tape to the 3GJ Gold Cording. I encourage you to mix it up a bit and pull from several of the 3GJ ribbon and trim bundles if you don't do that already. Even though the diagonal striped ribbon is a dark navy/blue color, it still goes so well with the gold and black, at least I think so : )

I am excited for the New Year and can't wait to see what 2015 brings. I hope you all have a Happy and safe New Year and I'll see you in 2015!!!

Happy Crafting & Happy New Year!!!

Flashback Friday~Washi Tape Projects

Hi Friends! You know how everyone does the Throwback Thursday on FB? Well I thought that I would start doing a series of Flashback Fridays where I show you guys some projects I've done in the past. In the mix you might see some I've posted about before, prior DT projects or challenges, videos posted on my YouTube Channel and some I just never got around to sharing online. I've also had some new followers since a lot of these were originally posted so I figured they might like to see them as well. So I hope you will all enjoy my Flashback Fridays :)

The projects I'm re-sharing today are some crafty items I made using Washi Tape. These were originally posted as a bonus DT project for Crafting Ireland.

Here's a video that's on my YT channel that shows each item up close...

I have to confess...this last one is my favorite and I still have this displayed in my vintage purple shabby hutch and I can see it when I'm crafting away at my desk. Makes me smile : )

So the purpose of this bonus DT project was to show the readers of Crafting Ireland some different ways to use Washi Tape other than laying it flat on the page.

I hope I was able to show you some fun new ways to use your Washi Tape. If you crafters are like me...I have a ton of this stuff and I really do need to use it more in my crafting.

I hope you like the new Flashback Friday series. Be sure to leave me a comment if you have any questions or if you want to see me feature a prior project.

Happy Crafting : )

Super Fun Quick and Easy Washi Tape Projects

Hi Friends! I have some really fun, super quick and easy Washi Tape projects to share with all of you today. I don't  know about you but I've sorta been collecting all sorts of Washi Tapes in different widths, colors and patterns..I just think they're cute!! I just ordered a ton of fabric tape from Maya Road so as I was adding it to my stash of other tapes...I realized I'd better start using this stuff at some point..lol.

So that brings me to today's post...I spent about an hour at the most coming up with and creating 5 projects to share with you using Washi Tape in different ways. I also have a short video that shows you all of the projects up close as well as the tapes I used so be sure to check that out too : )

As you can see I made a couple of tags, dressed up some journaling cards and made a mini canvas...all in under an hour. You can do this too..trust me : )

Here's the short video...(for some reason Blogger isn't loading my videos but you can check out my video HERE on my YouTube Channel : )

First up are the tags...I wanted to create a flower for one of them and for the second I simply used a few different colored and patterned tapes and made them the background for the tag.
The Washi Tapes take sprays perfectly!! I go over that in the video..but here's a closer look...
Such a fun way to create your own background by placing strips of the tape on your projects!

You can use the Washi Tape to create simple flower to embellish your projects!

Next up are the journal cards I dressed up a bit : )
Some simple pleating of the Washi Tape gives your projects some great detail.
Making some small simple flowers & adding some leaves really dresses up the note card don't you think?

And for my last project...probably my favorite...is a mini canvas...

Use your Washi Tape as a background for a canvas project. I absolutely love this one and I have it displayed in my craft room already..lol.

I hope I've been able to give you some ideas on how to use your stash of Washi Tape. These are some quick and easy projects that you can create for that last minute gift or tag might need.

I'll leave you with one last photo...it's of my baby Bella checkin things out as I was snapping the above photos..

Happy Crafting!!
