The Leapster Explorer is a handheld console developed and marketed by LeapFrog Enterprises as the third generation of the successful Leapster series. It is aimed at children aged 4 to 9. In June 2012, new versions of the Leapster Explorers were announced, set to be released on July 18 of that same year. The update was branded the LeapsterGS Explorer and it has higher resolution front and back cameras, longer battery life, 2GB of memory, and an LF 2000 processor.
