The discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012, by the ATLAS and CMS experiments, was a success achieved with only a percent of the entire dataset foreseen for the LHC. It opened a landscape of possibilities in the study of Higgs boson properties, Electroweak Symmetry breaking and the Standard Model in general, as well as new avenues in probing new physics beyond the Standard Model. Proton reconstruction with the CMS-TOTEM Precision Proton Spectrometer / CMS and TOTEM Collaboration
The Precision Proton Spectrometer (PPS) of the CMS and TOTEM experiments collected 107.7 fb$ ^{-1} $ in proton-proton (pp) collisions at the LHC at 13 TeV (Run 2). This paper describes the key features of the PPS alignment and optics calibrations, the proton reconstruction procedure, as well as the detector efficiency and the performance of the PPS simulation. Motivated by the success of the flavour physics programme carried out over the last decade at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we characterize in detail the physics potential of its High-Luminosity and High-Energy upgrades in this domain of physics. We document the extraordinary breadth of the HL/HE-LHC programme enabled by a putative Upgrade II of the dedicated flavour physics experiment LHCb and the evolution of the established flavour physics role of the ATLAS and CMS general purpose experiments. The degradation of signal in silicon sensors is studied under conditions expected at the CERN High-Luminosity LHC. 200 $\mu$m thick n-type silicon sensors are irradiated with protons of different energies to fluences of up to $3 \cdot 10^{15}$ neq/cm$^2$. [...]

First observation of the decay $B_s^0 \to K^-\mu^+\nu_\mu$ and measurement of $|V_{ub}|/|V_{cb}|$ / LHCb Collaboration
The first observation of the suppressed semileptonic $B_s^0 \to K^-\mu^+\nu_\mu$ decay is reported. Using a data sample recorded in $pp$ collisions in 2012 with the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$, the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(B_s^0 \to K^-\mu^+\nu_\mu)$} is measured to be $(1.06\pm0.05~(\mathrm{stat})\pm0.08~(\mathrm{syst}))\times 10^{-4}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second one represents the combined systematic uncertainties. Search for long-lived particles decaying to $e^{\pm} \mu^{\mp} \nu$ / LHCb Collaboration
Long-lived particles decaying to $e^\pm \mu^\mp \nu$, with masses between 7 and 50 GeV/c$^2$ and lifetimes between 2 and 50 ps, are searched for by looking at displaced vertices containing electrons and muons of opposite charges. The search is performed using 5.4 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions collected with the LHCb detector at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV. [...]

Measurement of the CKM angle $\gamma$ in $B^\pm\to D K^\pm$ and $B^\pm \to D \pi^\pm$ decays with $D \to K_\mathrm S^0 h^+ h^-$ / LHCb Collaboration
A measurement of $CP$-violating observables is performed using the decays ${B^\pm\to D K^\pm}$ and ${B^\pm\to D \pi^\pm}$, where the $D$ meson is reconstructed in one of the self-conjugate three-body final states $K_{\mathrm S}^0\pi^+\pi^-$ and $K_{\mathrm S}^0K^+K^-$ (commonly denoted $K_{\mathrm S}^0 h^+h^-$). The decays are analysed in bins of the $D$-decay phase space, leading to a measurement that is independent of the modelling of the $D$-decay amplitude. [...]

Measurement of the branching fraction of the $B^{0}\rightarrow D_{s}^{+}\pi^{-}$ decay / LHCb Collaboration
A branching fraction measurement of the $B^{0}\rightarrow D_{s}^{+}\pi^{-}$ decay is presented using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $5.0\,$fb$^{-1}$. The branching fraction is found to be ${\mathcal{B}(B^{0}\rightarrow D_{s}^{+}\pi^{-}) = (19.4 \pm 1.8\pm 1.3 \pm 1.2)\times 10^{-6}}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second systematic and the third is due to the uncertainty on the $B^0 \to D^{-}\pi^{+}$, $D_{s}^{+}\rightarrow K^{+}K^{-}\pi^{+}$ and $D^{-}\rightarrow K^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{-}$ branching fractions. The cross-section ratio $\sigma(\chi_{c2}) / \sigma(\chi_{c1})$ is measured in $p$Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$~=~8.16~TeV, collected with the LHCb experiment. [...]
