No EFT for massive higher spins / Riva, Francesco (speaker)
Massive resonances with spin larger or equal 2 are ubiquitous in physics, but their mass is always larger than their inverse size (the EFT cutoff). I will show that this condition follows from the requirement that the underlying theory be unitary and causal..

Microscopic Bounds on Macroscopic Theories / Riva, Francesco (speaker)
I will discuss Effective Field Theories that can originate from microscopic unitary theories, and their relation to moment theory. I will discuss the implications for pion physics, as well as showing that massive gravity, theories with isolated massive higher-spin particles, and theories with very irrelevant interactions, don’t posses healthy UV completions..

Explaining Nonlinearities in Black Hole Ringdowns from Symmetries / Kehagias, Alex (Natl. Tech. U., Athens ; CERN) ; Perrone, Davide (Geneva U.) ; Riotto, Antonio (Geneva U.) ; Riva, Francesco (Geneva U.)
It has been recently pointed out that nonlinear effects are necessary to model the ringdown stage of the gravitational waveform produced by the merger of two black holes giving rise to a remnant Kerr black hole. We show that this nonlinear behaviour is explained, both on the qualitative and quantitative level, by near-horizon symmetries of the Kerr black hole within the Kerr/CFT correspondence..

Promising Technologies and R&D Directions for the Future Muon Collider Detectors / Muon Collider Collaboration
Among the post-LHC generation of particle accelerators, the muon collider represents a unique machine with capability to provide very high energy leptonic collisions and to open the path to a vast and mostly unexplored physics programme. [...]

Cornering Large-$N_c$ QCD with Positivity Bounds / Fernandez, Clara (Barcelona, IFAE ; BIST, Barcelona) ; Pomarol, Alex (Barcelona, IFAE ; BIST, Barcelona ; Barcelona, Autonoma U. ; CERN) ; Riva, Francesco (Geneva U., Dept. Theor. Phys.) ; Sciotti, Francesco (Barcelona, IFAE ; BIST, Barcelona)
The simple analytic structure of meson scattering amplitudes in the large-$N_c$ limit, combined with positivity of the spectral density, provides precise predictions on low-energy observables. Building upon previous studies, we explore the allowed regions of chiral Lagrangian parameters and meson couplings to pions. [...]

IR side of positivity bounds / Bellazzini, Brando (IPhT, Saclay ; EPFL, Lausanne, LPTP ; CERN) ; Riembau, Marc (EPFL, Lausanne, LPTP) ; Riva, Francesco (Geneva U., Dept. Theor. Phys.)
We show how calculable IR loop effects impact positivity bounds in Effective Field Theories with causal and unitary UV completions. We identify infrared singularities which appear in dispersion relations at $|t|\lesssim m^2$. [...]

The truncation of the standard-model effective field theory, its validity and the associated uncertainties have been discussed in meetings of the LHC EFT WG. Proposals were made by participants to address these issues. [...]
