Large Primordial Trispectra in General Single Field Inflation / Chen, Xingang (MIT) ; Hu, Bin (Beijing, KITPC) ; Huang, Min-xin (CERN) ; Shiu, Gary (Wisconsin U., Madison ; Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Wang, Yi (Beijing, KITPC)
We compute the large scalar four-point correlation functions in general single field inflation models, where the inflaton Lagrangian is an arbitrary function of the inflaton and its first derivative. We find that the leading order trispectra have four different shapes determined by three parameters. [...]

Large non-Gaussianities in the Effective Field Theory Approach to Single-Field Inflation: the Bispectrum / Bartolo, Nicola (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Fasiello, Matteo (Milan Bicocca U. ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Matarrese, Sabino (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Riotto, Antonio (INFN, Padua ; CERN)
The methods of effective field theory are used to study generic theories of inflation with a single inflaton field and to perform a general analysis of the associated non-Gaussianities. We investigate the amplitudes and shapes of the various generic three-point correlators, the bispectra, which may be generated by different classes of single-field inflationary models. [...]

Large non-Gaussianities in the Effective Field Theory Approach to Single-Field Inflation: the Trispectrum / Bartolo, Nicola (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Fasiello, Matteo (Milan Bicocca U. ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Matarrese, Sabino (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Riotto, Antonio (INFN, Padua ; CERN)
We perform the analysis of the trispectrum of curvature perturbations generated by the interactions characterizing a general theory of single-field inflation obtained by effective field theory methods. We find that curvature-generated interaction terms, which can in general give an important contribution to the amplitude of the four-point function, show some new distinctive features in the form of their trispectrum shape-function. Symmetry Breaking and False Vacuum Decay after Hybrid Inflation / García-Bellido, J ; Pérez-Garcia, M ; González-Arroyo, A
We discuss the onset of symmetry breaking from the false vacuum in generic scenarios in which the mass squared of the symmetry breaking (Higgs) field depends linearly with time, as it occurs, via the evolution of the inflaton, in models of hybrid inflation. We show that the Higgs fluctuations evolve from quantum to classical during the initial stages. [...]
