Large non-Gaussianities in the Effective Field Theory Approach to Single-Field Inflation: the Bispectrum / Bartolo, Nicola (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Fasiello, Matteo (Milan Bicocca U. ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Matarrese, Sabino (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Riotto, Antonio (INFN, Padua ; CERN)
The methods of effective field theory are used to study generic theories of inflation with a single inflaton field and to perform a general analysis of the associated non-Gaussianities. We investigate the amplitudes and shapes of the various generic three-point correlators, the bispectra, which may be generated by different classes of single-field inflationary models. [...]

Large non-Gaussianities in the Effective Field Theory Approach to Single-Field Inflation: the Trispectrum / Bartolo, Nicola (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Fasiello, Matteo (Milan Bicocca U. ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Matarrese, Sabino (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Riotto, Antonio (INFN, Padua ; CERN)
We perform the analysis of the trispectrum of curvature perturbations generated by the interactions characterizing a general theory of single-field inflation obtained by effective field theory methods. We find that curvature-generated interaction terms, which can in general give an important contribution to the amplitude of the four-point function, show some new distinctive features in the form of their trispectrum shape-function. Tilt and Running of Cosmological Observables in Generalized Single-Field Inflation / Bartolo, Nicola (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Fasiello, Matteo (Milan Bicocca U. ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Matarrese, Sabino (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Riotto, Antonio (INFN, Padua ; CERN)
Employing an effective field theory approach to inflationary perturbations, we analyze in detail the effect of curvature-generated Lagrangian operators on various observables, focusing on their running with scales. At quadratic order, we solve the equation of motion at next-to-leading leading order in a generalized slow-roll approximation for a very general theory of single-field inflation. [...]

Constraints on multifield inflation from the BOSS galaxy survey / Cabass, Giovanni (Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Ivanov, Mikhail M. (Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Philcox, Oliver H.E. (Princeton U., Astrophys. Sci. Dept. ; Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Simonović, Marko (CERN) ; Zaldarriaga, Matias (Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study)
We use redshift-space galaxy clustering data from the BOSS survey to constrain local primordial non-Gaussianity (LPNG). This is of particular importance due to the consistency relations, which imply that a detection of LPNG would rule out all single-field inflationary models. [...]

Non-local primordial non-Gaussianity (NLPNG) is a smoking gun of interactions in single-field inflationary models, and can be written as a combination of the equilateral and orthogonal templates. We present the first constraints on these from the redshift-space galaxy power spectra and bispectra of the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS) data. [...]

Detectability of the effect of Inflationary non-Gaussianity on halo bias / Verde, Licia (CERN ; ICREA, Barcelona) ; Matarrese, Sabino (INFN, Padua ; Padua U.)
We consider the description of the clustering of halos for physically-motivated types of non-Gaussian initial conditions. In particular we include non-Gaussianity of the type arising from single field slow-roll, multi fields, curvaton (local type), higher-order derivative-type (equilateral), vacuum-state modifications (enfolded-type) and horizon-scale GR corrections type. The Physical Squeezed Limit: Consistency Relations at Order q^2 / Creminelli, Paolo (ICTP, Trieste) ; Perko, Ashley (Stanford U., ITP) ; Senatore, Leonardo (Stanford U., ITP ; KIPAC, Menlo Park ; SLAC ; CERN) ; Simonović, Marko (SISSA, Trieste ; INFN, Trieste) ; Trevisan, Gabriele (SISSA, Trieste ; INFN, Trieste)
In single-field models of inflation the effect of a long mode with momentum q reduces to a diffeomorphism at zeroth and first order in q. This gives the well-known consistency relations for the n-point functions. [...]

Inflation and dark matter in two Higgs doublet models / Gong, Jinn-Ouk (CERN) ; Kang, Sin Kyu (Seoultech, Seoul) ; Lee, Hyun Min (CERN)
We consider the Higgs inflation in the extension of the Standard Model with two Higgs doublets coupled to gravity non-minimally. In the presence of an approximate global U(1) symmetry in the Higgs sector, both radial and angular modes of neutral Higgs bosons drive inflation where large non-Gaussianity is possible from appropriate initial conditions on the angular mode.
