Free Field Realizations from the Higgs Branch / Beem, Christopher (Oxford U., Inst. Math. ; St. John's Coll., Oxford) ; Meneghelli, Carlo (Oxford U., Inst. Math.) ; Rastelli, Leonardo (YITP, Stony Brook ; CERN)
We present free field realizations for the associated vertex operator algebras of a number of four-dimensional $\mathcal{N}=2$ superconformal field theories. Our constructions utilize an exceptionally small set of chiral bosons whose number matches the complex dimensionality of the Higgs branch of the superconformal field theory. [...]

VOAs and rank-two instanton SCFTs / Beem, Christopher (Oxford U., Inst. Math.) ; Meneghelli, Carlo (Oxford U., Inst. Math.) ; Peelaers, Wolfger (Oxford U., Inst. Math.) ; Rastelli, Leonardo (YITP, Stony Brook ; CERN)
We analyze the N=2 superconformal field theories that arise when a pair of D3-branes probe an F-theory singularity from the perspective of the associated vertex operator algebra. We identify these vertex operator algebras for all cases; we find that they have a completely uniform description, parameterized by the dual Coxeter number of the corresponding global symmetry group. Machine Learning and Algebraic Approaches towards Complete Matter Spectra in 4d F-theory / Bies, Martin (Oxford U., Inst. Math.) ; Cvetič, Mirjam (Pennsylvania U. ; Pennsylvania U., Dept. Math. ; Maribor U.) ; Donagi, Ron (Pennsylvania U. ; Pennsylvania U., Dept. Math.) ; Lin, Ling (CERN) ; Liu, Muyang (Pennsylvania U.) ; Ruehle, Fabian (CERN ; Oxford U., Theor. Phys.)
Motivated by engineering vector-like (Higgs) pairs in the spectrum of 4d F-theory compactifications, we combine machine learning and algebraic geometry techniques to analyze line bundle cohomologies on families of holomorphic curves. To quantify jumps of these cohomologies, we first generate 1.8 million pairs of line bundles and curves embedded in $dP_3$, for which we compute the cohomologies. [...]

Effective description of sub-maximal chaos: stringy effects for SYK scrambling / Choi, Changha (Perimeter Inst. Theor. Phys.) ; Haehl, Felix M. (U. Southampton (main)) ; Mezei, Márk (Oxford U., Inst. Math.) ; Sárosi, Gábor (CERN)
It has been proposed that the exponential decay and subsequent power law saturation of out-of-time-order correlation functions can be universally described by collective 'scramblon' modes. We develop this idea from a path integral perspective in several examples, thereby establishing a general formalism. [...]

Seifert fibering operators in 3d $\mathcal{N}=2$ theories / Closset, Cyril (CERN) ; Kim, Heeyeon (Oxford U., Inst. Math.) ; Willett, Brian (Santa Barbara, KITP)
We study 3d $\mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric gauge theories on closed oriented Seifert manifold---circle bundles over an orbifold Riemann surface---, with a gauge group G given by a product of simply-connected and/or unitary Lie groups. Our main result is an exact formula for the supersymmetric partition function on any Seifert manifold, generalizing previous results on lens spaces. [...]

Taming Mass Gaps with Anti–de Sitter Space / Copetti, Christian (Oxford U., Inst. Math.) ; Di Pietro, Lorenzo (Trieste U. ; INFN, Trieste) ; Ji, Ziming (INFN, Trieste ; SISSA, Trieste) ; Komatsu, Shota (CERN)
Anti-de-Sitter space acts as an infra-red cut off for asymptotically free theories, allowing interpolation between a weakly-coupled small-sized regime and a strongly-coupled flat-space regime. We scrutinize the interpolation for theories in two dimensions from the perspective of boundary conformal theories. [...]

Six-dimensional Origin of $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM with Duality Defects / Assel, Benjamin (CERN ; King's Coll. London, Dept. Math) ; Schäfer-Nameki, Sakura (Oxford U., Inst. Math. ; King's Coll. London, Dept. Math)
We study the topologically twisted compactification of the 6d $(2,0)$ M5-brane theory on an elliptically fibered K\"ahler three-fold preserving two supercharges. We show that upon reducing on the elliptic fiber, the 4d theory is $\mathcal{N}=4$ Super-Yang Mills, with varying complexified coupling $\tau$, in the presence of defects. [...]

Correlation functions of the chiral stress-tensor multiplet in $ \mathcal{N}=4 $ SYM / Chicherin, Dmitry (Annecy, LAPTH) ; Doobary, Reza (Durham U., Dept. of Math.) ; Eden, Burkhard (Humboldt U., Berlin, Inst. Math.) ; Heslop, Paul (Durham U., Dept. of Math.) ; Korchemsky, Gregory P. (IPhT, Saclay) ; Mason, Lionel (Oxford U., Inst. Math.) ; Sokatchev, Emery (Annecy, LAPTH ; CERN ; IUF, Paris)
We give a new method for computing the correlation functions of the chiral part of the stress-tensor supermultiplet that relies on the reformulation of N=4 SYM in twistor space. It yields the correlation functions in the Born approximation as a sum of Feynman diagrams on twistor space that involve only propagators and no integration vertices. [...]
