(Northwestern U. ; IPhT, Saclay) et al.
This is an introduction to, and invitation to read, a series of review articles on scattering amplitudes in gauge theory, gravity, and superstring theory. Our aim is to provide an overview of the field, from basic aspects to a selection of current (2022) research and developments..

$\text{Tr}(F^3)$ supersymmetric form factors and maximal transcendentality Part II: $0<\mathcal{N}<4$ super Yang-Mills / Brandhuber, Andreas (Queen Mary, U. of London) ; Kostacinska, Martyna (Queen Mary, U. of London) ; Penante, Brenda (CERN) ; Travaglini, Gabriele (Queen Mary, U. of London)
The study of form factors has many phenomenologically interesting applications, one of which is Higgs plus gluon amplitudes in QCD. Through effective field theory techniques these are related to form factors of various operators of increasing classical dimension. [...]

$\text{Tr}(F^3)$ supersymmetric form factors and maximal transcendentality Part I: $\mathcal{N}=4$ super Yang-Mills / Brandhuber, Andreas (Queen Mary, U. of London) ; Kostacinska, Martyna (Queen Mary, U. of London) ; Penante, Brenda (CERN) ; Travaglini, Gabriele (Queen Mary, U. of London)
In the large top-mass limit, Higgs plus multi-gluon amplitudes in QCD can be computed using an effective field theory. This approach turns the computation of such amplitudes into that of form factors of operators of increasing classical dimension. [...]

Higgs amplitudes from $\mathcal{N}=4$ super Yang-Mills theory / Brandhuber, Andreas (Santa Barbara, KITP ; Queen Mary, U. of London) ; Kostacinska, Martyna (Queen Mary, U. of London) ; Penante, Brenda (CERN) ; Travaglini, Gabriele (Santa Barbara, KITP ; Queen Mary, U. of London ; Humboldt U., Berlin)
Higgs plus multi-gluon amplitudes in QCD can be computed in an effective Lagrangian description. In the infinite top-mass limit, an amplitude with a Higgs and $n$ gluons is computed by the form factor of the operator ${\rm Tr}\, F^2$. [...]

Current correlators in the Coulomb branch of N=4 SYM / Brandhuber, Andreas (CERN) ; Sfetsos, Konstadinos (Neuchatel U.)
We study correlators of R-symmetry currents in the Coulomb branch of N = 4 supersymmetric gauge theory in the large-N limit, using the AdS/CFT correspondence. In particular, we consider gauge fields in the presence of gravity and scalar fields parameterizing the coset SL(6,R)/SO(6) in the context of five-dimensional gauged supergravity. [...]

An N=2 gauge theory and its supergravity dual / Brandhuber, A. (CERN) ; Sfetsos, K. (Neuchatel U.)
We study flows on the scalar manifold of N=8 gauged supergravity in five dimensions which are dual to certain mass deformations of N=4 super Yang--Mills theory. In particular, we consider a perturbation of the gauge theory by a mass term for the adjoint hyper-multiplet, giving rise to an N=2 theory. [...]

Riemann surfaces and Schrödinger potentials of gauged supergravity / Bakas, Ioannis ; Brandhuber, A ; Sfetsos, K
Supersymmetric domain-wall solutions of maximal gauged supergravity areclassified in 4, 5 and 7 dimensions in the presence of non-trivial scalarfields taking values in the coset SL(N, R)/SO(N) for N=8, 6 and 5 respectively. We use an algebro-geometric method based on the Christoffel-Schwarztransformation, which allows for the characterization of the solutions in termsof Riemann surfaces whose genus depends on the isometry group. Theuniformization of the curves can be carried out explicitly for models of lowgenus and results into trigonometric and elliptic solutions for the scalarfields and the conformal factor of the metric. Domain walls of gauged supergravity, M-branes and algebraic curves / Bakas, I. (Patras U.) ; Brandhuber, A. (CERN) ; Sfetsos, K. (Neuchatel U.)
We provide an algebraic classification of all supersymmetric domain wall solutions of maximal gauged supergravity in four and seven dimensions, in the presence of non-trivial scalar fields in the coset SL(8,R)/SO(8) and SL(5,R)/SO(5) respectively. These solutions satisfy first-order equations, which can be obtained using the method of Bogomol'nyi. [...]

Non-standard compactifications with mass gaps and Newton's law / Brandhuber, A. (CERN) ; Sfetsos, K. (CERN)
