Handmade Burlap Ornament Gift Set

Hello again friends, it's time for the monthly Samantha Walker
Creative Team Blog Hop and the theme this month is Homemade Holiday Gift Ideas.

I always love making ornaments as gifts, one year I created a full
set of cupcake ornaments, and I usually do an exchange as well. This year
I decided to make some vintage style burlap ornaments using the
Take heavy duty overstock paper I used metallic paper.
"Ungroup" tags and choose style you want with open area in the middle.
Trim out 2 of each.
Using the middle cuts you will throw out or save, use as template
and cut burlap slightly larger to fit into frame.
Adhere both sides of tags to each other with burlap in the center.
Add snowflake or flowers, then add gemstones to each side.
You can use leftover burlap strands to hang ornaments,
I folded it over 4 times and tied it.
I also hot glued a burlap bow to the bottom.
They have a very soft vintage style perfect for any tree really.

The nest stop on the blog hop is Diane:

This month the  hop the prize will be the $10 gift card to digiplayground.com.

They will announce the Blog Hop Winner on Monday, 12/15 on Samantha's Facebook Page.

Snowflake Ornament

Hey friends, hello Monday....
I was included in an ornament exchange this weekend and I decided
to make mine, thankfully I had a friend who wanted it! hahaha
It's similar to a style I created last year using a snowflake SVG from SW
with some heavy duty Cutcardstock and a crystal angel at the bottom
from Connie Crystal.
I also spritzed it with glitter...I mean DUH hahaha
It was a fun ornament to make.

Altered Christmas Project~

Good morning friends,
What a trying week so far it's been nice to sneak away and create!
I created this clipboard that my sweet son gave to me.
It was old and he just thought he wanted me to make it pretty so I did!
And as a bonus the ornament strip is a dry erase board too!
For the Clear Scraps Ornament strip I turned it over- dripped alcohol ink
all over it, then ultra fine glitter before it dried.
I LOVE the effect. Then I turned it over and removed the protective film.
For the clipboard instead of covering it with paint or paper I heat embossed the
clipboard before I papered it! I love the copper hues. It looks metallic.
The ribbon on top is Ribbons Unlimited of course…
I know an altered clipboard is clique and everyone has them but
I still find them fun to make and I can't wait to add Christmas photos.

Have a wonderful day friends! :)

Mini Gift Bag Tutorial!

Good morning friends, Happy Monday!

I had so many compliments on these little gift
bags I created I decided to share how I made them.
They are the perfect size for any pair of earrings
and really if I had 25 of them I would totally make an
Advent Calendar with them!
Anyways here is my how to-

  • Trim out embossed images (now you can trim them out with your die cut machine first if you like).
  • Repeat with sentiment stamps.

  •  Using   Xyron 3" Sticker Maker run sentiments and Gingerbread through.
  • Rub firmly to ensure full application of adhesive!

  • Place Gingerbread onto Maya Road Bags.
  • Repeat on other side using sentiment.

  •  Add bows or embellishments as desired!

Easy and GORGEOUS! They took me around 30 minutes! :)
Here is what I used:
