Hide photos from view in Photos on Mac
In Photos on your Mac, you can hide photos that you don’t want to display. The hidden photos remain in your library and you can reveal them later when you want.
Hide photos temporarily from view
In the Photos app on your Mac, click Library in the sidebar.
Select the photo or photos you want to hide, choose Image > Hide [number] Photos, then click Hide.
The selected photos disappear from view but are not deleted.
Show photos that you’ve hidden
In the Photos app on your Mac, click Library in the sidebar.
Choose View > Show Hidden Photo Album.
The Hidden album appears in the sidebar. (If the Hidden album is locked, use Touch ID or enter your password to unlock it.)
Select the photos you want to display, then choose Image > Unhide [number] Photos.
To set the Hidden album to require a password or Touch ID to unlock it, see Change settings in Photos on Mac.
