MOLLY :) ✌️🫶🤝✊ i will never get tired of Sophia's breakcore, wow! that desc is not lying that this isn't like music made by this week's nu breakcore artist. what you'll find in Breakcore Burnout is a party where breakcore, acid, breakbeat, and plunderphonics are getting crazy with each other in an eargasmic orgy that carries on the unique noises and composition that are akin to Dawn of the Dachshund. this is what came after 3 years of hard work, and it pays off spectacularly! beautiful art direction too :) 🩷🩷

about

Sophiaaaahjkl;8901 is finally back from their NEET cave with another record that sounds nothing like your friend’s favorite Nu-Breakcore artist they discovered on TikTok. Clocking in at just under 40 minutes, Breakcore Burnout is possibly Sophia’s most focused and concise album to date. From the groovy happy hardcore and acid of “No Fun” to the absolutely demented kick drum beatdown that is “BANG BANG!!”, to the ADHD-Curing (or exacerbating) chipmunked smooth jazz and glitched out rave stabs of “You All Ate too Much Red 40” — you can tell something is deeply, truly wrong with Bay Area musician Sophia “Keysmash” Hjkl;8901. Don’t worry though — the morphing, ever-shifting sample stab arpeggios; earache inducing glitches, and skittering amen snares and think break “yeah, woo!” chops are still here and in full force on tracks like “Targeted Memetic Audiohazard” and “Layover at Midway” that revisit Hjkl’s 2015 forays into experimental sample-based music at the beginning of the Sophiaaaahjkl;8901 project. Emo furries and fellow 20-something terminally online autistic burnouts will find themselves right at home within this album’s genre-bending genre-defying genre-breaking boundary-breaking mind-breaking face-melting ear-piercing nose piercing lip piercing eyebrow piercing neon dyed hair-having eyeliner-adorning band tee-wearing tripp pants-wearing mishmash of i dont even know, you know? If you liked albums like “Dawn of the Dachshund” and “Memecore Megamixxx” you will like this even more! If you liked albums like “Chemical Burn” and “Toilet Abstraction Tapes”, you are not prepared for what you are about to hear… This album is not for anime profile pic dweebs that only listen to breakcore fed to them directly from the algorithm with un-chopped amens at 200 BPM and blown out PS1 game samples. This is an IDM and Rave combo meal with large silly girl fries like only Mx. Hjkl can do it. So buy this new album so Sophia Dog can get their desktop computer’s parts replaced, get back into streaming — and never make another song ever again. YAAAAAY :D
