I had never heard any black metal before and the atmosphere of this album was something I had always loved in movies/books but had never heard in music. All these years later Minas Morgul still moves me as much as it did back then. The raw mastering combined with the synths and rhythms make a sound that will always be part of my soul. Favorite track: Ungolianth.

Wound of Briccius What else can be said about this album? Minas Morgul is an absolute gem in not only the BM scene, but also the Dungeon Synth scene. This was the album that really defined Summoning, and created their unique sound. Minas Morgul is an album that every BM fan must have.

2nd Album. Black Metal Classic

By fans often called the "real" debut-album by austrian legends Summoning.

Despite some private releases in my collection, Exercises In Futility is my thousandth purchase! I planned this a while ago, as this is the most important album to me. In 2016, it opened the door to black metal for me, I understood something about the style and the music that I previously could not grasp.
