Welcome!

[change source]

First of all, take a look around. It takes time to get used to how things are done here, it's a bit different to EN Wikipedia. When you feel confident about writing Simple English, this list has some articles we really need writing or improving, as well as Wikipedia:Requested articles. Any questions you have, you can ask me or go to Wikipedia:Simple talk.

One thing you should be wary of is the amount of vandalism. Because we're a small community, the best contributors really get targeted and sometimes nastily attacked. I personally find it quite funny, but you might not, and putting 'do not vandalise' is pretty much suicide over here. I'm an admin if you need anything. Archer7 - talk 18:23, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well yes I suppose, but it's like that on the English Wikipedia too. The current guidelines here are 1000 edits and 3 months experience, but every case is assessed individually. If you have proved that you can be trusted and spend far too much of your spare time here, you can become an admin. However, being an admin is nothing special. OK, so you get to block people and get your user page replaced with offensive pictures occasionally, but that shouldn't be your only aim while editing here. I know it's easy to think that admins are somewhat 'higher' than everyone else, but they're not. It really isn't that big a deal. Archer7 - talk 18:43, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's another thing. We really don't like things that aren't that important or notable at the moment, something like Leyland would be on WP:RFD in less than an hour. User:XenoNeon doesn't edit over here very much at all, I'm sure he'd be very jealous. Archer7 - talk 19:00, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You may make them. I only got crappy MS Paint. MrCEEO 19:06, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

non-core

[change source]

I've deleted Deoxys. Individual pokemon are non-Core articles. Please limit your work here to information on more notable subjects, or move to the full EN wikipedia to work on other things. -- Netoholic @ 22:28, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Esperanza!

[change source]

Welcome, Jordan, to Esperanza! As you may know, all the members have one important goal, which is the success of this encyclopedia. To do this we want to make the community better, and be the nice side of Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, comments, or general ideas, use the Esperanza talk page! We thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Currently I am runing to become a sysop. The main reason why I want to become one is to better help in the war against vandalism, I believe in tougher blocks against vandals and after the 2 time they vandaliz an article I will impose a ban on them. I have a lot of free time so I will be a active sysop. At one point I had a average of 50 edits a day, now I have a average of 30 because I was busy and not able to edit. If you have any questions ask me on my talk page please. to vote go to Wikipedia:Administrators. Have a nice week and god bless.--Sir James Paul 21:05, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Dictionary styles

[change source]

Hello, dear Jordanhatch. I am very sorry for I have deleted Collection due to the fact that it is dictionary style. Do take a look at this little guide. Thanks.-- Tdxiang 12:33, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Esperanza

[change source]

You added a welcome message regarding Esperanza on my talk page. You added that like this: {{Welcome Esperanza}}, I removed it, because it was buggy. You should add it like this, I think: {{subst:Welcome Esperanza}}. Good luck - Huji reply 08:59, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lorem Ispum

[change source]

I will simplify the article, when I find the time. --Eptalon 15:54, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for voting in my recent RfA, but reading the oppose comments, I have decided that I am not experienced enough to be an administrator yet. Thanks again! Razorflame 23:01, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Usurpation

[change source]

I require assistance with this request from a Steward/Admin please.

Hello, Jordan. A request has been made at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations to usurp, or "take over", your username because you have not used it to edit, and another user would like to use it to edit. Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations says that any unused username may be usurped if the user is given an opportunity to object and does not do so.

If you have an email set in your preferences, you should be getting an email from a bureaucrat or changing username clerk explaining how to consent or object to this process.

If you do not object to being renamed to a new username in order for another user to use the name you currently have, please log in and post a reply here saying so (you may also tell us what username you would like to be renamed to, or we will provide you with a generic one).

If you do nothing: the request may be filled shortly, and your account will be moved to a generic username. You may request that it be moved to a new username of your choice at any time.

If you object to being renamed: please log in and make an edit to this page clearly stating that you object to usurpation.

Please note that even if your current username is usurped, you can still edit and your data will not be lost; your preferences, watchlist, and other user settings will be transferred to a new username.

Thank you for your time. Jrdan (talk) 15:06, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, apologies but I would prefer to keep the username I currently have, as I may possibly return to editing Wikipedia in the future. However, thank you for your consideration in getting in touch with me about this. Jordan - talk 20:24, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
