Geoffrey

Geoffrey [ jef-ree ][1] is an English male given name. It is often spelled Jeffrey and abbreviated as "Geoff", "Jeff" or "Geof". Geoffrey is a moniker that boasts a lengthy existence spanning centuries and a fascinating past. Its etymology can be traced back to the Germanic name Godfrey, which translates to "God's peace." During the Norman era, the name gained significant popularity and was subsequently introduced to England following the Norman Conquest of 1066.[2] It was very prominent in the early 1990s in England and America.
