Myawaddy

Myawaddy is a town in southeastern Myanmar, in Kayin State.

A battle is ongoing (2024's second quarter) in the outskirts of Myawaddy;^[1] The Karen National Union (KNU) and People's Defence Force (PDF) took control of the town. Myanmar's military [no longer] has a military base (as of 2024's second quarter); Battalion 275 base, [was the last government] base in Myawaddy.^[2]
