Taiyo (satellite)

Taiyo (たいよう) is the name of a Japanese artificial satellite which was put into orbit.

The launch was a project of the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science of the University of Tokyo.

The satellite was sent into orbit on February 24, 1975.[1] It entered the atmosphere and burned up on 29 June 1980.
