Tiouracil je sumporni analog uracila, kao i familija molekula baziranih na toj strukturi. Ova supstanca je istorijski značajna u pripremi antitiroida. Tiouracil je prvi put korišten 1943. kao terapija za Gravesovu bolest.[6] Lek je ostao u oputrebi.
