Check in rules

Cubana de Aviacion requires passengers to check in at the airport counter at least 3 hours before flight departure. Failure to arrive at the counter at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure will result in the loss of the right to board the flight.

Baggage

Cubana allows one piece of cabin baggage up to 5 kg with dimensions not exceeding 45 inches (115 cm). For checked baggage, the free allowance is 20 kg (44 lbs) on domestic flights, 30 kg for Tropical Class, and 20 kg for Tourist Class on international flights. Each checked bag must not exceed 32 kg (70 lbs) or 158 cm (62 inches) in combined dimensions. Excess baggage exceeding these limits will incur charges and must be checked as cargo.

Unaccompanied minors

Cubana defines unaccompanied minors (UM) as children aged 5 to under 12 traveling under the supervision of a flight attendant. The UM service must be requested during booking, subject to capacity limits. If the itinerary involves multiple airlines, the service must be confirmed by all carriers for each leg of the journey before ticket issuance.

Infants

Cubana requires infants to be at least 7 days old on the flight date and always accompanied by an adult. Baby transportation and special food services must be requested during booking, as space is limited. Infants under 2 years old can travel either on the adult's lap, secured with a special baby safety belt, or in their own seat, subject to fare policies.

Pets

Except for guide dogs accompanying blind passengers, Cubana Airlines does not allow pets in the passenger cabin. Yorkshire dogs with valid passports and updated documents are also accepted. All other pets must travel in the baggage or cargo compartments in approved containers. Pets are transported as excess baggage, with charges based on the combined weight of the animal and cage.
