If you haven't tried making fabric scrap twine before, and if you have an abundant stash of fabric remnants, then there's no time like the present.

As you use embroidery floss for a project, you'll find you're left with small bits of leftover floss. These leftover bits of floss are often referred to as Old Ratty Threads (or ORTs, for short), and newer stitchers often ask what they're "supposed" to be doing with them.
