I don’t usually add the layer of wafer paper before adding the strips. I usually add straight to soft fondant but I forgot this while making this cake 🤦‍♀️ with soft fondant you can push the strips into the fondant and it will stick just fine but with hardened fondant like this was it makes it very difficult.
