Macintosh toffee recipes

This is the best toffee I have ever tasted. It is a popular item at the Christmas Farmer's Market here,with just 4 ingredients it's easy to make. We prefer to decrease the cooking time slightly for a softer toffee.

2 bars Macintosh toffee 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons cream 2 cups Cornflakes Break toffee bars into smaller pieces (melts easier, try chilling bars in freezer first, then smashing on counter). Place toffee, butter and cream into large saucepan and melt on medium low heat. Remove from heat and add Cornflakes. Spoon onto wax paper and let cool.

From a "please take one" ad. at the grocery store. Recipe uses MacIntosh's Creamy Toffee. Serving & Prep/Cook times are estimated.

Soft marshmallow filling surrounded with a toffee and krispy coating. We like to make these for our Christmas trays. I don't know if you can get MacIntosh toffee in the USA. We find them with the chocolate bars.

When I was a kid, every once in a while my father would surprise me with a bar of Mackintosh's Toffee. For those of you who've never had the pleasure of smacking a Mack, this distinctively Canadian treat is a bar of not too hard and not too soft toffee in a distinctive red tartan cardboard box.
