Kiviõli is an industrial toun in Ida-Viru Coonty, Estonie. The dounset wis foondit in 1922 an became a toun in 1946. The main industrie is ile shale minin, which gives the town its name (literally "stane ile"). Included in the toun limits, but somewha separate frae the main pairt o the toun, are the destricts o Küttejõu an Varinurme.

In 2000, 51% o inhabitants wur ethnic Roushies an 39% wur Estonies. The population, which wis 10353 in 1989, haed declined tae 7269 in 2000 an tae 5634 in 2011.

Estonie Sidecarcross Grand Prix haes taken place in Kiviõli annually syne 2008.
