Kurt Ferdinand Friedrich Hermann von Schleicher (Aboot this soondlisten ; 7 Aprile 1882 – 30 Juin 1934) wis a German general an the seicont tae last Chancellor o Germany during the era o the Weimar Republic. An important player in the German Airmy's efforts tae avoid the restrictions o the Treaty o Versailles, Schleicher rose tae power as a close advisor tae Preses Paul von Hindenburg. Seiventeen months efter his resignation, he wis assassinatit bi order o his successor, Adolf Hitler, in the Nicht o the Lang Knives.[1]
