Scifi corridor

Another exercise in modular environment building using the Star Citizen workflow with face-weighted normals, decal sheets and trim sheets. Sergey Tyapkin's modular sci-fi corridor was my main inspiration for this.

This project is based on an awesome concept by Ken Fairclough, as seen here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/xoPOX The scene was modelled in Maya, textures made in Designer, and rendered in UE4. This project was a challenge because I wanted to learn how to build an environment baking as few pieces as possible. More concept practice, I haven't really done an environment like this before, despite wanting to for a long time. I think next time I'll challenge myself further and try a more complex angle and more complicated shapes. Inspired heavily by the work of Justin Oaksford and Kory Hubbell.
